This Cookie Policy describes how NET247 (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the BattleCorp Network website and related online services (the “Services”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
When you first arrive, a consent panel asks you to authorise or refuse optional cookies. Essential cookies are required for the Services to function and are always in use. You can revise that authorisation at any time using the control below.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. We use these tools to operate the Services securely, remember preferences, and — only if you authorise it — measure how the Services are used.
2. How we obtain your choice
A first-party record of your choice is stored in your browser (local storage). That record is not used for advertising. If you clear site data, the consent panel will appear again. Changing your choice from “authorise” to “refuse optional” stops further measurement tags from loading and instructs the browser to expire known analytics cookies where we can.
3. Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for security and core operation. They do not require optional consent.
- Session — keeps you signed in and preserves request state while you use the Services (cookie name battlecorp_network_session).
- CSRF / XSRF token — protects forms and authenticated requests against cross-site request forgery.
- Remember me — if you choose this option at sign-in, a longer-lived cookie keeps the session available across browser restarts.
- Directory view — optional first-party cookies that remember whether you last used grid or table layout on personnel, organisation, and scenario directories.
4. Optional measurement cookies
If you authorise optional cookies, we load Google Analytics (via Google tag / gtag) with the measurement
ID configured for this deployment. Google may set cookies such as _ga and related identifiers,
and may receive your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar usage data. See
Google’s privacy policy.
These tags are not loaded until you authorise them, and they are not loaded if you refuse optional cookies.
5. Security widgets on forms
On pages such as registration and contact, we may load Google reCAPTCHA v3 to reduce automated abuse. That widget is required for those forms to function and is a security control, not an optional analytics cookie. Google may collect technical data as described in Google’s terms and privacy notices.
6. How long cookies last
Session cookies expire when you close the browser or after the configured idle period. Remember-me and directory-view cookies last up to one year unless you clear them. Analytics cookies, when authorised, follow the retention set by Google for that measurement ID. Your consent record remains until you change it or clear site data.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in and other core functions from working correctly.
